Re: To Catch a Thief (1955) DVD FAO Anthony

So sorry: I hadn't finished editing the "Text notes" note and you've copied it to the listing. Could you please amend it to the corrected version above?

Re: Let's Make Love (1960) ADDED

You're welcome! I missed the case's audio error but as 4.0 stereo was the primary original soundtrack, which fits directly into the disc's 5.1 container with a low-pass filter for the LFE, I'd amend the note to simply: "Case incorrectly states the audio is 1.0 mono." Also, Caps BD and DVD.

Re: The “Is this a bootleg?” Thread

The Last Hunt (1956): The Spanish bootleg BD-R (listing says "DVD-R") from Llamentol (aka Blackfire Productions) is currently listed. It's down as being from "Monitor" but I've never heard of them and the EAN matches that of the boot.

The film is owned by Warner Bros. worldwide and there are only ...

Eyes Without a Face AKA Les yeux sans visage (1960)

For some reason, when DVDBeaver added the Criterion BD to their comparison in 2013, they removed all the DVD screenshots, so the DVD page's link is no good. However, their original DVD comparison is on the Internet Archive, so you could link to that instead.

Re: Rain (1932)

Strange if it's never been added, as it's a public domain staple with the expected plethora of crappy releases. There are only two decent DVDs, from the Roan Group and Image Entertainment, which I have, and will add next time I dig them out.

Re: Notorious (1946) ADDED

Thanks, James. I see the Prism Leisure/Fremantle DVD is still missing the cuts notes on the other UK discs. Also, the NTSC-PAL Filmax appears to be copied directly from the edited Anchor Bay DVD.

Caps needs adding to the DVD comparison.

DVD ASINs: Italy B00005JJA8, Spain B0053C8JYY.

You might want to add bootleg and copyright footnotes.

Re: Paradine Case (The) (1947)

Thanks, Erlend; I realise now this is the DVD I intended when I mistakenly submitted Spellbound instead! I was compiling corrections notes for all four Hitchcock-Selznick films simultaneously and got the discs mixed up!

All pre-DVD releases feature a print of the US 1956 re-release version with ...
