I recommend Dredd 3D. The single best use for the format I have EVER seen. It actually services the story.

I agree on Dredd. Pretty much all the 3D movies I've seen prior to it have been more or less pointless and just awfully gimmicky of their 3D imagery but with Dredd the 3D really worked and added to the story.
Work occasionally keeps me off the grid but I'll be around sooner or later.

Totally. It treally helped sell the idea that Peach Trees was a nightmarish maze, the depth of field really worked.

I've heard nothing but good things about Titanic despite it being a conversion. Also had to instantly grab The Flying Swords of Tiger Gate which is seemingly astonishing.

I think when it comes to 3D I do enjoy gimmicky pop-outs but only when the movie is a comedy, horror or animated. I think I prefer to see depth added though, something that Titanic supposedly does well.

I'll see how these go, and then maybe pick up some of the other discs. I've pre-ordered everything I want and with this format will pre-order as and when after seeing how high prices are on some of Dreamworks and Disney's titles...

Really enjoying watching 3D releases! Pre-ordered Life of Pi and The Hobbit so look forward to them.

Was surprised how good the depth was on Drive Angry as really didn't expect it from that movie for some reason.

My poor eyesight in my right eye prevents me from enjoying 3D movies.I would've loved to have seen Dredd & the old 50s movies like House Of Wax,Creature From The Black Lagoon & It Came From Outer Space in the process. :(

That's a shame Mark. :(

Today I watched A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas which had some really funny pop-outs and some great depth. I also watched Madagascar 3 which had amazing 3D. The pop-outs were well done and everything felt so immersive. Possibly the best 3D animation I've seen so far. The film is average though.

Apparantly very grainy but the 3D is supposedly pretty good. I'm waiting on news of a UK release. Can get the US release for about £19 delivered (customs free) from dvdworldusa but I expect this to be a £13-£15 title.

I watched the two 3D Resident Evil movies today. Sure, the movies are complete guilty pleasures for me, but the 3D was very good on both. Tomorrow I'll give A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman 3D a watch (and will of course add the specs).

Not out until end of May mind...

Just watched Priest in 3D. A bit disappointing as depth isn't great and sometimes it seems as though it is pretty much 2D. Thankfully got this one cheap in a boxset with Resident Evil: Afterlife and The Green Hornet.

I bet the beginning of Resident 5 looked fantastic in 3D... that 'reverse' sequence was a genuiely interesting visual.
