Predator Trilogy DVD vs BD

Postby Ham_Tyler » 03 Sep 2017 20:37

I've got the special editions of Predator and Predator 2 on DVD and Predators on BD. Is it worth me replacing these with the 3 disc trilogy box set on BD? Are the special features the same for example?

The first movie has some additional featurettes over the 2-disc DVD. The second movie seems to be the same in terms of extras.

Though "Predator" was pretty controversial in its Blu-ray transfer being scrubbed too clean and losing detail.

There's only one extra featurette on the Ultimate DNR edition of Predator. You'd be be better off hunting down the original bare-bones release and the individual release of Predator 2, both of which are quality transfers - Predator is an MPEG-2 encode but it's far more authentic looking than the DNR-washed mess on the other version.
