In alphabetical order:

A Bride for Rip Van Winkle
Canola
Captain America: Civil War
Ghostbusters
Hardcore Henry
I America
The Lovers and the Despot
Miles Ahead
10 Cloverfield Lane
Your Name

"Your Name" was easily the best film I saw all year, but I must admit I probably only saw about 20 "2016" films this year since I was busy with discs of older movies (which keep piling up!) and there were a lot of major titles that I had not gotten around to ("Zootopia", "Deadpool", etc), plus Japan being late with theatrical releases, with some movies even being released a year later than other countries, I probably watched more 2015 movies in 2016.

In addition, my favorite 10 discs this year in alphabetical order:

1. Aimless Bullet (Korean Film Archive/Blue Kino)
2. Bande à part (BFI)
3. Boyhood (Criterion)
4. Dissent and Disruption: Alan Clarke at the BBC (BFI)
5. Dreams (Criterion)
6. Man with a Movie Camera (Eureka)
7. The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection (Universal)
8. Pioneers of African-American Cinema (BFI)
9. Straight Outta Compton (Universal)
10. The Thing (Shout! Factory)
