OVERALL: Draw-
OVERALL: Draw
Theatrical Version:
- The US, UK, and Australian releases for the English audio.
Director's Cut:
- The US Warner release has an exclusive featurette.
- The French release has a DTS soundtrack, but forced subtitles.
- The German Laser Paradise release has a Dolby Digital 5.1 EX soundtrack and minor exclusive extras (a featurette, photo galleries and DVD-ROM content)
Note that the commentary track differs between the theatrical and director's cut versions.
Notes about the German-releases: Based on OFDB, there are over 15 (!) different German -releases. We can´t confirm them all, but at least "Best Entertainment"-releases are very mediocre (see the one in the comparison) and all FSK 16-releases are cut.
Information on differences between the theatrical version and the director's cut can be found at Movie-Censorship.
Note that the original theatrical version and early VHS and Laserdisc home video releases of the theatrical version and director's cut included the Nine Inch Nails song "Burn" near the end of the film. It's confirmed to be replaced with a generic song on many DVD releases, though some are still unconfirmed. (The upcoming 2023 Shout! Studios 4K restoration release is scheduled to reinstate the song for both the theatrical version and the director's cut.) -
