Notes: "Director's Cut vs. Theatrical"
Director Ronny Yu reduced the length of 'Fearless' from 143 minutes to 103 minutes to speed up the pacing of the movie.
The subplot with Michelle Yeoh has been cut. In the original cut the story of Huo Yuanjia is told by Miss Yang an Olympic official. In the early part of the movie Huo Yuanjia is in exile in a Thai village and to save a boy from being punished for stealing an ox, he is forced into a match with a local boxer, played by Somluck Kamsing. Ronny Yu made the cut after audiences from an internal screening criticized the film for being too slow and the Olympic sub-story being too irrelevant to the main plot. -
