A Note About the Versions:
Please note that all of the currently-available DVDs contain a shorter cut of the film that was originally prepared for the American market. The film was originally released to British cinemas with a running time of around 138 mins, and this longer cut has been released on VHS in the UK (by Connoisseur in 1992; but this tape suffered 7s of cuts to horsefalls).

For its American release, the film was cut by around 7 minutes, and it is this shorter edit that is available on DVD.

• R2 Germany- KSM - No cuts - Shorter US cut (125:06 PAL).

• R2 United Kingdom- British Film Institute - Yes - 14 seconds of cuts were made by the BBFC (Several horsefalls during the final charge). This is the shorter US cut (124:44 PAL).
• R2 United Kingdom- Optimum Releasing - Yes - 14 seconds of cuts were made by the BBFC (Several horsefalls during the final charge). This is the shorter US cut (124:44 PAL).
