OVERALL: R1
Extras: "Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection" box set has some exclusives extras on the "bonus disc" (do note, that the actual broadcast of "AFI Salute" was almost 2 hours), but others are the same.
Transfer: Based on the reports, the re-release is improved (it´s now sharper and brighter) over the original release.
About the original R2/R4 -releases: Although they´re 4:3, so in most scenes there is obvious cropping, there is also some open matting (differences can be spotted by comparing scenes in the film with scenes in the documentary). Please see this link: HERE.
