Easter eggs:DISC ONE: From the "Main Menu", select the "EXTRAS". It is on the Filmographies (Filmografien), where the FOUR of them can be found. (Hint: Easter Egg pages have a Cartoon Face somewhere on them).
-Dario Argento: Go to Page 6. On Next (Weiter), press DOWN to highlight the Cartoon Face in the upper left corner. Select it to see a bunch of weblinks to sites about Dario Argento.
-Jennifer Connelly: On the first page, move to Extras and press LEFT to highlight the Cartoon Face in the upper left corner. Select it to see a bunch of weblinks to sites about Jennifer Connelly.
-On the second page (still in Jennifer Connelly), you should see the same Cartoon Face in the upper left corner. To highlight it, just press RIGHT while on the Extras option. Select it to see a rather interesting photo layout of Jennifer Connelly.
-Finally, select Donald Pleasence. Go to Page 13. You should see the Cartoon Face in the upper left corner. To highlight it, move to Extras and press DOWN. Select the face to see a single weblink for Donald Pleasence.
Disc 2: While on the "Main Menu", move down to and select the option that says Postkarte signiert fuer diese Special Edition (the 8th option). Now look at the arrow on the option to return to the Main Menu (it's the only option there). Press DOWN and the blue highlight is no longer there. Press ENTER and you will see some outtake footage of Claudio Simonetti at his piano. (Thank you for the Rewind user Tromabilia for these eggs). -

GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in three primary versions:
- the Italian cut (~116 minutes);
- the International Version (~111 minutes);
- the U.S. version (~83 minutes) which is not just a cut-down version of the international version but makes use of outtakes and alternate footage not to soften the violence but to smooth over the extensive editing.
The film was mixed down to mono for the U.S. theatrical release - in spite of the Dolby Stereo logo that remains in the end credits - but Synapse Films discovered when accessing Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema holdings - in order to patch up some SD inserted material in their older master of the Italian version used for their 1080p Blu-ray edition - that the effects were mixed down to mono but the music was still in matrixed stereo (hence the inclusion of the "stereo" track as an option for the U.S. version on Synapse's Blu-ray and the Synapse/Arrow UHD editions). -
