OVERALL: R0
UK release from Shameless, for the inclusion of some contextual material and one scene that was originally omitted from both the Italian and English release prints. Shameless' DVD is also English-friendly.
GENERAL NOTES:
The original English-dubbed version of the film omitted some sequences that were included in the Italian release prints, but it also contained some unique footage. The Italian DVD presents the Italian version of the film; Shameless' UK DVD presents the Italian version of the film (with sequences left undubbed in English presented in Italian with English subtitles) with the addition of a scene that was missing from both edits of the film. However, neither DVD contains the scenes that were exclusive to the English-dubbed edit of the picture. The English dub track also included some brief opening narration from the male protagonist that has not turned up on DVD or Blu-ray. -
CUTS:
- R0 United Kingdom- Shameless Screen Entertainment - No cuts - Reconstructed version of the film which reinstates sequences that were originally cut from the English release prints (presented here in Italian, with English subs) plus one scene that was in neither the English nor the Italian release prints; however, the scenes that were unique to the English version of the film are missing here (84:35 PAL)
- R2 Italy- Alan Young Pictures - No known cuts - Represents the longer Italian version of the film, which includes unique sequences but also omits some footage unique to the English-dubbed version of the film (83:48 PAL)
