- The HK 2-Disc edition has a Cantonese DTS 6.1 track, significant extras and is English friendly.
- The Chinese Deluxe Collector's Edition has the best extras, but it isn't English friendly and has only the Mandarin soundtrack.
- The Taiwan release has significant extras and is fully English friendly, but has only the Mandarin soundtrack.
- The Australian release has an exclusive commentary.
- The UK release has a few exclusive extras.

General note:
The film has both actors/actresses from Hong Kong and Mainland China: those from Hong Kong speak Cantonese and those from Mainland China speak Mandarin.
In the Cantonese soundtrack, all speak Cantonese except the character "Jin Shan-Zhao" (a guy from North China), and in the Mandarin track, all speak Mandarin.
Note The film has also some Japanese portions with the Japanese characters.
With the setting in the Cantonese speaking region of Guangzhou, Cantonese should be considered the original language and Mandarin as the alternate soundtrack.
