GENERAL NOTES:
The stylized optical English subtitles accompanying the Romanian dialogue on theatrical prints, laserdisc, VHS, and the earliest DVD releases have been replaced with standard font optional English subtitles on the HD remasters.
The film was released to theaters in Dolby Stereo matrixed surround but the Criterion laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-ray 5.1 and Atmos tracks are derived from the alternate Dolby 6-track master which has forty sound effects differences from the Dolby Stereo theatrical and Columbia VHS/laserdisc surround track.
