GENERAL NOTE: "Emmanuelle 5" exists in a number of versions, among them:
- French softcore (73 minutes)
- French hardcore (hardcore inserts and extras)
- English Export Version (82 minutes)
- U.S. Version (74 minutes)

The export version has different editing throughout the film, most noticeably the portioning out of scenes from the film-within-a-film "Love Express" throughout the first act (in the French version it appears as a single 7 minute sequence following the introductory Cannes sequences after the credits).

The U.S. version runs a minute longer than the French original, but it is actually missing several sequences from the original (other scenes are re-worked as well) with new scenes directed by Steve Barnett (shot by Corman regular Zoran Hochstätter and edited by Nina M. Gilberti and Kevin Tent). These scenes include a new character, the deletion of most of the "Love Express" sequence, the replacement/removal of sex scenes, action scenes following Emmanuelle's escape from the harem, and a less ambiguous ending.

• R1 America- New Horizons - Yes - U.S. version (72:57 NTSC) with new scenes directed by Steve Barnett (and the removal of several sequences from the original cut).
• R2 United Kingdom- Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment - Yes - export version (80:01 PAL), cut by 45 seconds.
