OVERALL: R2
France CE has both the theatrical and the edited cut, with a wealth of extras. However, it has FORCED French subtitles and most of the extras are probably in French only.
General note:
The following versions of the films are known to exist:
- The 107min theatrical cut, also with Scottish accents.
- The edited 89min studios cut. This version has been redubbed by Welles and the other actors to cut down on the Scottish accents and also omits some of the play's most famous lines. -
CUTS:
- R2 France- Wild Side Video/Universal Studio Canal Video - No cuts - edited studios cut (81:31 PAL).
- R2 Collector's Edition France- Wild Side Video/Universal Studio Canal Video - No cuts - contains both the theatrical cut (~114min PAL) and the edited studios cut (81:31 PAL).
- R2 Restored Edition United Kingdom- Second Sight - No cuts - Theatrical Cut (102:44 PAL).
