The German Astro release has the extended home video version and has the most extras.

The US and Swedish 30th Anniversary Editions have the theatrical version, a widescreen transfer, 5.1 sound, but lack the "Fact or Fiction" documentary.

Note the differing versions:
- Original theatrical version
- Extended home video version which inserts a gas chamber execution sequence
- German theatrical version which omits all footage about the Holocaust and the Third Reich.

The gas chamber sequence is available as a deleted scene extra on some releases.

• R2 30th Anniversary Edition Sweden- Njutafilm - No cuts - original theatrical version (104:39 NTSC > PAL)
• R2 United Kingdom- Screen Entertainment - Yes - 2:19 of scenes with animal cruelty are cut (103:29 NTSC > PAL)
• R4 Australia- Umbrella Entertainment - No Cuts - original theatrical version (105:49 NTSC)
