R0 US -release has the best set of extra-features (and Italian-track without English subtitles), but R0 Sazuma´s "Ultrabit Edition", R2 Italy and R2 Scandinavian -releases have an anamorphic-transfer (Italy also has 5.1 audio). The R2 XT Video 3-Disc Edition has 3 versions of the film but, the second and third discs of the set do not feature an English track.

  - Removing most of the gore footage
  - All elements of actual cannibalism ie: the cannibals picking at the dead bodies are removed, and when Zora Kerowa is killed, this edited version plays as though she has dissapeared, never once showing either the actual event of the aftermath of the famous "hooks through the breasts" death
  - All but one of the animal deaths are missing, and the death of the pig appears trimmed
  - Also cut, amongst others, is John Morghen's arm being lopped off
  - The 2 castration scenes are cut
  - John Morghen removing a natives eye with a knife is also cut
