OVERALL: Draw
Kino Lorber has both versions and extras while Studio Canal has the French version and exclusive extras that might not be English-friendly.
GENERAL NOTES:
The film was produced in simultaneous French and English versions - Charles Bronson spoke learned his lines phonetically for the French version - with slightly different editing rhythms:
- French version (~118 minutes);
- English version (~114 minutes).
We have no idea why the German disc's French version runs two minutes longer, but the German theatrical version is cited in references as running 121 minutes (which may be an error unless there was exclusive footage). -
CUTS:
- R1 America- Kino Lorber - No cuts - includes the English (114:12 NTSC) and French (118:10 NTSC) versions
- R2 France- Studio Canal - No cuts (113:17 PAL)
- R2 Germany- Euro Video - No cuts - French version (112:11 PAL)
-
R2 United Kingdom- Optimum Releasing - No cuts - includes the English version (109:31 PAL) and the French version (112:58 PAL).
- R2 United Kingdom- Orbit Media - Not known.
