Notes:The German version comes from a dupe negative with inserts from other sources (including a French end card) while the U.S. version comes from a low-contrast print element.
Severin uses a black screen with music at the start for a prefatory notes about the English audio track reverting to German for scenes not included in the U.S. release, while the alternate U.S. release version also features the same 41-second black screen before the opening credits without any text. -

Severin has anamorphic transfers of two versions but each has different versions and exclusive extras.
GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in a handful of versions:
- the German domestic version (82 minutes) with covered takes;
- the continental version (84 minutes) with nude takes;
- the 1962 American "Horrors of Spider Island" version (77 minutes) which is based on the continental version but cuts away from nudity (rather than using the covered takes) and includes the covered take of the skinny-dipping scene;
- the 1965 American "It's Hot in Paradise" (77 minutes) nudie version which does not reinstate the cut nudity but features the nude version of the skinny-dipping scene. -
