The German release has the Hong Kong cut with an anamorphic transfer and 5.1 audio, with the alternate original ending as an extra.
The US release has the Hong Kong cut with DTS 5.1 audio, a commentary, and the alternate original ending as an extra, but the transfer is non-anamorphic.
The Taiwanese release has the original cut but the transfer is cropped, is non-anamorphic, has burned-in subtitles and dubbed in Mandarin.

CUTS:

• R0 Special Edition America- Tai Seng - Yes (87:01 NTSC). Approximately 40 seconds were cut from the ending as the HK distributor/licensor felt it was to downbeat. Note the full original ending is available as an extra feature.
• R0 Hong Kong- Mei Ah - Yes - approximately 40 seconds were cut from the ending as the HK distributor/licensor felt it was to downbeat. (86:44 NTSC)
• R0 Taiwan- Thunder Media - No cuts (87:25 NTSC)
• R2 Germany- Splendid Film - Yes (83:15 PAL). Approximately 40 seconds were cut from the ending as the HK distributor/licensor felt it was to downbeat. Note the full original ending is available as an extra feature.
• R2 United Kingdom- Hong Kong Classics - Yes - Hong Kong version plus 7 seconds of cuts (86:57 NTSC->PAL)
