The 40th Anniversary Editions have a mastered in 4K transfer and a new 40th anniversary Q&A, but note it is missing the Interactive Script-to-Screen feature and some of the extras have been downgraded from HD to SD onto the bonus DVD.
The US, French, German standard editions and UK 35th Anniversary Edition have identical extras including the Interactive Script-to-Screen.
The "Columbia Classics 4K Ultra HD Collection Volume 2" releases have the first disc of the 40th Anniversary Editions plus a bonus disc of short films, but lacks the 40th anniversary bonus DVD. Though note the extras on the DVD is available on the 4K UHD disc.
Note the 40th Anniversary Editions and the Columbia Classics Collection releases have a mastering error in which one shot during the gun buying scene is mistakenly repeated. This was fixed in for the 2024 Steelbook releases, but there was no replacement program implemented.
