The 2022 German edition is the most comprehensive but do note that the US and UK editions feature some exclusive extras.
The 2024 UK release has two versions of the film (from 4K restorations) with some exclusive extras.
The US/Canadian, French, and UK Odeon releases have the director's cut each with some differing exclusive extras.

This film has multiple versions:
- UK theatrical release which is also the director's cut (86 minutes).
- The export version which has some alternate scenes of nudity (86 minutes).
- The US release retitled "The Conqueror Worm" which is the same as the UK version except for the title and a Poe quote text screen.
- The US home video version "The Conqueror Worm" with the Poe quote text screen, plus the nude scenes from the export version and an alternate soundtrack.
