OVERALL: Draw
The R2 (Columbia Tristar) & R4 releases have anamorphic transfers, DD 5.1 audio, but are not in the original aspect ratio. The movie was shot in Super 35 for theatrical presentation at 2.35:1. These release have probably been "open matted" enough to fill a 16:9 TV screen (like the R1 edition).
If you are an aspect ratio purist, go for the R2 UK edition. But it is non-anamorphic, only has DD 2.0 Surround audio. -
CUTS:
- R1 America- HBO - No cuts (100:57).
- R2 France- Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment - No cuts (96:36 PAL).
- R2 Germany- Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment - No cuts (96:36 PAL).
- R2 Holland- RCV - No cuts (96:46 PAL).
- R2 Italy- Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment - No cuts (96:36 PAL).
- R2 United Kingdom- Entertainment In Video - No cuts (96:44 PAL).
- R4 Australia- Roadshow Home Entertainment - No cuts.
