OVERALL: R2
The UK Arrow release for the uncut film, anamorphic OAR, and extras. Do note that the German edition has the same extras as the Arrow edition but only on the Blu-ray side of the combo.
Only three editions have DD 5.1 audio: the Italian (which is a dubbed Italian track, not the original English), the German (which is also a dubbed track), and the UK (which is cut, cropped and non-anamorphic).
Also available from:
- TGG Direct (US) -
CUTS:
-
R0 United Kingdom- Anchor Bay Entertainment - (107:01 PAL) with the following differences:
1. The Cannon Films logo is missing on the DVD.
2. The opening credits sequence looks completely different with alternating animations and background images and titles and some actors are not credited at all in the DVD version.
3. The shot of the first helicopter policeman being run over by the wheels of the train is missing.
4. During the next 4-5 minutes after the death scene there are at least 4 shots missing throughout the helicopter-chasing-the-train-scene as well as some shots shortened. All these are missing on the Blu-ray versions, making the DVD version longer there.
5. There are different fades during the finale between the prisoners and Manny on the train, sometimes the DVD has hard cuts instead of fades.
There are also numerous tiny occasions with dialogue going over different shots and starting earlier or later, again with some shots longer and/or shorter from version to version. - R1 America- MGM Home Entertainment - Yes - the shot of the first helicopter policeman being run over by the wheels of the train is missing
