A mess: IMDB give the OAR as 1.66:1, the UK release is in the "Director Approved" 1.33:1 ratio but is an NTSC to PAL transfer; the US release is 1.78:1 native anamorphic... but it is a double crop – first to 1.33:1 and then to 1.78:1 – missing information top, bottom, left and right by comparison of screencaps with the UK one. You probably know how NTSC to PAL transfers look on your set-up, so make your choice based on this. (The UK release also has a couple of Hal Hartley shorts while the US one is bare bones, just to make things more complicated.)
Also released in Holland! -
CUTS:
- R0 United Kingdom- Artificial Eye - No cuts (137:24 NTSC>PAL).
- R1 America- Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment - No cuts (137:24 NTSC).
