The US Columbia release has the original longer version of the film with Mandarin audio in the original aspect ratio, though note the credit sequences are missing minor footage.

The film exists in at least three versions:
- the 1976 Mandarin cut (~120 mins)
- the original English export version (~112 minutes)
- the 1980 Cantonese cut (~82 mins)
