The Japanese edition has three versions of the movie, but HK and Japanese versions are not English friendly, and are in standard definition only.
The US Shout! Factory boxset and the UK release have two versions of the movie, with the US cut sourced from a 2K remaster and have differing exclusive extras.

The following versions of the movie are known:
- The original US theatrical version (~95min),
- The re-edited HK version, in which new sections of the film have been reshot and added, including the addition of a whole new subplot (~87min),
- The Japanese extended version containing scenes from both other versions and outtakes credits (~105min).

CUTS:

• Blu-ray A Double Feature America- Shout! Factory - No cuts. Includes the original US Theatrical Version (95:27) and the Re-edited HK Version (88:22).
• Blu-ray A The Jackie Chan Collection, Vol. 2 America- Shout! Factory - Includes the original US theatrical version (95:00) and the re-edited Hong Kong version (92:09), which includes Golden Harvest logo.
• Blu-ray A Hong Kong- Kam & Ronson - No cuts. Original US Theatrical Version (94:50).
• Blu-ray A Japan- Paramount Home Entertainment - No cuts. Includes the Original US Theatrical Version (95:05), the Re-edited HK Version (87:31) and the Japanese Extended Version (104:36). HK version does not have Golden Harvest logo.
• Blu-ray A Japan- Paramount Home Entertainment - No cuts. Includes the Original US Theatrical Version (95:05), the Re-edited HK Version (87:31) and the Japanese Extended Version (96:55). HK Version does not have Golden Harvest logo.
  The Extended version contains the following scenes that were NOT included in Jackie Chan's Hong Kong edit:
  - Billy Wong & Garoni learning about the massage parlor from a native HK police officer after talking to Superintendent Whitehead.
  - Billy Wong & Garoni discussing their plans outside of the police station after getting scolded by Whitehead
  - Benny Garucci & David Ho talking in their car after picking up Garucci from the airport (exclusive to the Japanese version)
  - Benny Garucci meeting with Harold Ko at Ko's office to exchange money.
  Like the HK version, the Japanese cut is still missing the funeral scene
• Blu-ray B Dragon Edition Germany- Splendid Film - No cuts. Includes the US Version (95:52) and the Re-edited HK Version in both upscaled HD (95:52) and standard definition (88:28 PAL).
• Blu-ray B Jackie Chan Vintage Collection Volume 4 Scandinavia- Universal Pictures - No cuts - US theatrical version (95:15)
• Blu-ray B United Kingdom- 88 Films - No cuts - Includes the original US theatrical version (95:23) and the re-edited Hong Kong version (92:09), which includes Golden Harvest logo
