OVERALL: Draw
- R6 China is the only known Anamorphic edition of the film, with a full bitrate DTS-ES soundtrack but only has the Special Edition version of the film and the text commentary as an extra.
- R1 SE (2-disc)/R2 SE Portugal/R2 SE Scandinavia/R4 SE offer both versions of the movie and extensive extras but are Non-Anamorphic and only have English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Do note that among these, the US edition has exclusive easter eggs and DVD-ROM content.
Whichever you choose, stay away from:
- The Canadian and other SE releases as they are missing the English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.
- The UK editions, as the movie is cut, as well as the "Under Pressure: Making The Abyss" documentary.
General note:
The cases of many editions incorrectly state the transfer as Anamorphic.
