GENERAL NOTES:
There are two versions of the film:
- the 1966 American theatrical release version;
- the 1996 re-release version which included the additional bacchanalia footage from the European release but, because it was derived from French materials, was missing a reference to the lead's new identity as an artist having a degree from the Sorbonne. -
