The disc defaults to the Dolby Digital Surround 2.0 track when disc is loaded, you can only select the Dolby Digital 5.1 track from your remote control audio button, since there is no audio setup in the menu (DVD only list a Dolby Digital 2.0 track on cover). -

OVERALL: Draw
R2 Japanese LE set, US R0 LE and UK R2 SE (Anchor Bay) releases all have English DTS-tracks and large selections of extras. Note the UK Cult Films release includes a large selection of extras and comes from a 4K master.
Further more:
-Japanese and US/UK (See notes) releases also have additional Italian track, but NO English subtitles.
-Japanese and US releases have the "Suspiria 25th Anniversary" documentary, while the UK release has the "Dario Argento's World of Horror" documentary.
-US release has additional soundtrack CD (so does the R0 German release).
-Japanese release has also "Deep Red AKA Profondo Rosso" (2 versions) and additional documentaries (not fully English friendly).
-The German 3-Disc Leatherbook Edition has exclusive German language extras and a transfer from a 4K master.
Also note:
-R4 CE release has both "Suspiria 25th Anniversary" & "An Eye For Horror" documentaries, but no DTS.
-R2 SE Italian release has Italian Dolby Digital 5.1 track for the purists, with English subtitles.
-US Synapse release features the original 4.0 English soundtrack.
-R2 Limited Edition Italian release features the Synapse Films restoration, an Italian DTS track, and an exclusive featurette.

GENERAL NOTES:
The film was released in English with a four channel (LCRS) mix with directional dialogue (a mono mix was also available for theaters that could not handle multi-channel audio). The 5.1 mixes are newer tracks that center the dialogue (the 2.0 stereo mixes are downmixed from 4.0, possibly sourced directly from the LPCM track on the American Laserdisc). French and Italian theatrical mixes were in mono. -
