Easter eggs:From the Main Menu on Species 3, go into the Special Features. Go to the second page. Move up to be on the arrow that takes you back to the first page. Now press up to reveal a beaker. Select it to see a 4:01 featurette entitled "Species III SFX Bonus: Falling Apart". It deals with the scene in which the cop gets cut in half and how the special effects guys were able to pull it off with very little funds. (Thanks to tromabilia for the easter egg details)
