The source material for the original cut is very poor, and the transfer is average. Anamorphic, but slightly cropped from the OAR of 1.85:1.
The international cut is in much better condition, but it is 4:3 Pan & Scan, and is dubbed in English.
The Hong Kong trailer, international trailer, and sequel trailer are NTSC to PAL transfers. Other extras are proper PAL sourced transfers. -

OVERALL: Draw
The Hong Kong re-release has a DTS soundtrack and a proper NTSC transfer of the original version of the film.
The UK release features both versions of the film and additional extras, though note the Hong Kong version's transfer is NTSC to PAL and slightly cropped, while the international version is in 4:3.
