This is the "Movie Edition" version, which includes new and missing footage, alternate scenes and scene re-arrangement. Picture quality is reported to be less bright and colorful than the OVA, and not as sharp. Only available in a 3-disk pack [2 Amaray (keep) cases in cardboard slipcase] which also contains the original OVA (Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4).

General Note: Macross Plus started as a 4-episode OVA (35 min each). It was subsequently released theatrically in an edited 115 min version, which also included new footage (Macross Plus: Movie Edition). In the USA, the OVA and the Movie Edition DVDs were released separately; in the UK, they were released as a 3-disc set containing the OVA and the Movie Edition.
