OVERALL: Blu-ray B
The UK Powerhouse release for everything.
The US Kino and UK Powerhouse Films releases are seemingly the only home video releases to present the original Dolby Stereo 2.0 soundtrack, albeit with a 5.1 boost. Most theatrical releases prints used a mono down-mix however, also on the UK set.
All prior video releases (VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and indeed the MGM and non-US BDs) only offered the mono down-mix.
Two versions of this film exist:
(1.) The original director's cut prepared by Guy Hamilton and scored by Ron Goodwin. This exists in two variants; one with the theatrical photograph credits and one with the blue-gray shadows credits (126 minutes).
(2.) The edited US theatrical cut prepared by AIP (119 minutes). -
CUTS:
- Blu-ray A America- Kino Lorber - No cuts - Includes the director's cut and based on the DVD Beaver screen caps has the photograph credits (126:11)
