Notes:* The 1971 Feature Version is not the original serial (the black and white 2" broadcast masters have been wiped), but a newly-created version utilizing only the filmed serial material and new opening and closing credits. This is basically the uninterrupted serial (which made up only 6-7 minutes of each 20 minute 1980 episode).
** The "film version" of the BBC Records LP combines audio from the LP and audio and video form the TV series. -

OVERALL: R2
A "Look and Read" serial shot in 1971 with color film sections and black and white video teaching segments. The 2" master tapes were wiped by the BBC but the film had been preserved for a planned but unreleased feature version.
The serial was one of the series' most requested titles, so in 1980 the filmed serial was combined with new video teaching segments as well as a new filmed introduction with the now grown lead actors framing the serial as a flashback. -
CUTS:
- R2 United Kingdom- British Film Institute - No cuts - contains the complete 1980 series (199:48 PAL) and 1971 "feature" version (69:15 PAL).
