OVERALL: Draw
Australian version - Australian release for the extras.
US version - The Hong Kong release for the optional DTS 5.1 track and deleted scenes. Though note the Taiwanese release has differing extras.
Additional notes about versions:
According to Trenchard-Smith on the audio commentary the Australian version called "DRAGON FLIES" was shorter in running time cutting two scenes, one at a petrol station and the other a short scene involving Hugh Keays Byrne interviewing Ros Spiers at her home. Trenchard-Smith says the scenes were cut due to the Australian dialogue being indecipherable to American ears yet both scenes feature Byrne who is English and not Australian. The movie was a Hong Kong/Australian co-production making the Australian release the original version. It is said by some in trivia notes about the movie that co-star Jimmy Wang Yu received a director's credit on the Hong Kong version. Trenchard-Smith is the only director credited on the Australian DVD. Thanks to user John_Mission for this information.
This has also been released in:
