OVERALL: Draw
Between the identical Anchor Bay/Blue Underground US versions for English-friendly international and American cuts and the German FilmArt version for including four versions of the film (although only one is English-friendly).
GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in at least three versions:
- the Italian version (~102 minutes);
- the American version (~86 minutes) with exclusive footage shot by Polselli including wraparound footage that depicts Hargitay as a Vietnam vet and two additional murders including one of a character who does not appear at all in the Italian version (which changes the motivation of one of the characters during the climax) and the perpetrator of one of the last killings through re-editing;
- the French version (~94 minutes) with sex inserts. -
