OVERALL: Blu-ray B
The German release for multiple versions of the film and extras.
Note:
The European version included an additional scene before the end credits, where, after Tommy Gibbs is seen wandering in a neighborhood slum, a street gang robs him and fatally beats him up. This sequence was originally cut from U.S. prints, as AIP was already interested in making a sequel. In the late 1990s when MGM bought the Orion Pictures library, and for some reason, all home video releases from MGM only featured the European version and not the original theatrical version. -
CUTS:
- Blu-ray A America- Olive Films - No cuts - European version with an additional scene (95:08)
- Blu-ray B Germany- Wicked Vision Media - No cuts - Includes the original theatrical version with the original ending reconstructed (93:36), the European version with an additional scene (95:07), and the open matte German version (90:28)
