Notes:This is the US version of the film, not the Italian version. The main difference is, that the scene where the confederate soldiers are killed (which is the entire reasoning behind Django’s motive in the film) is presented roughly half way through the film, rather than before the credits, which is how it is presented in the Italian version.

OVERALL: Draw
The US VCI releases, the US Allegro release, and US "The Django Collection Volume 2" release have the English version in the correct aspect ratio of 2:35:1 with anamorphic transfers.
The Italian release and the German Studio Canal releases contain the edit of the film that was originally released to Italian cinemas, though not English-friendly and the differences between the Italian cut and the American cut are relatively minor. (See 'Versions' below.)
Versions:
In the US version of the film, the opening flashback was relocated midway through the movie.
The VCI releases contain the flashback in the middle of the film's narrative, as per the re-edited US release. On the other hand, on the Italian DVD the flashback is located at the front-end of the film, as per the original Italian release version. -
