Notes:The English track seems to be at a higher pitch than the other tracks. Case incorrectly states the picture to be widescreen, the presence of Hindi subtitles, the inclusion of the director commentary, and a few minor extras. Asia Vision has released a widescreen DVD with the original Mandarin track and commentary. The Hindi name is "Mayawi Talwar" and the Tamil name is "Payum Puli Padungum Nagam".

OVERALL: Draw
Between the R1, R2 (Spanish/UK), and R4 releases. They all have the HBO featurette "Unleashing The Dragons", Anamorphic transfer, and English Subtitles. Note, that the Spanish DVD also has Mandarin DTS (but it's not Superbit).
If you understand Mandarin or German, the 2 disc German release is the best, with DTS and all the extras.
If you want improved picture/audio, and you're not worried about losing Extras, go for any of the "Superbit" editions. Some reviews state that the R1 superbit has a darker transfer.
