OVERALL: Draw
The 50th Anniversary Edition has the best set of extras while the original US release has an additional UK Version with optional commentary. Do note though that the German release has converted the UK version to 24fps.
GENERAL NOTES:
Two versions of this film:
- the longer, original, uncut version (87 minutes).
- the shortened UK version (79 minutes).
Approximately 8:00 of (dialogue) footage is missing for some reason. Here are at least some missing bits:
- 1:20 min scene when they get to the cemetary.
- (In the house) 30 sec from the scene in front of the fire just before Alan comes back downstairs.
- (In the house) 1:20 min scene, when Alan is showing them the contents of the trunk.
- Short cut nearer the end, when Vallerie goes upstairs to tell Alan they're leaving.
- No cuts to any of the zombie action.
