OVERALL: Draw
The Optimum UK and French releases have identical extras including a lengthy French documentary. Though note the French release has forced French subtitles and the extras are not entirely English friendly.
The German release also includes the alternate German language version of the film "Mary" and the Truffaut conversation, though the extras and alternate film are not English-friendly.
The US Lionsgate has an exclusive featurette.
Only the US Lionsgate DVD has original mono audio. All other releases have a remixed track. Full details are available at Alfred Hitchcock Collectors’ Guide: Murder! and Mary.
Note that this film and other early Alfred Hitchcock titles have been released in many bootleg editions. Supposedly "public domain" releases by companies such as Avenue One, Brentwood, Diamond Entertainment, Digiview, Laserlight, Mill Creek, Passion Productions, St. Clair Vision, Sonart, Westlake, Whirlwind and others should be avoided.
