OVERALL: Draw
The Vinegar Syndrome release has both versions of the film, a 2K restoration for the Theatrical Cut, an exclusive commentary, 2 short films, and some director introductions.
The Code Red release has the Theatrical Cut with a different commentary and an additional documentary.
The Director's Cut was was originally sold on a limited-run DVD exclusively through the director's website but we do not have confirmed specs.
Versions:
The Theatrical Cut & Director's Cut are essentially the same edit.
The Director's Cut was created in 2015 and has added a small number of digital effects (electricity, blood, animated logos). In the director's words, he "Lucas'd it". -

- R0 America- Code Red - No cuts - Theatrical Cut.
- R0 America- Vinegar Syndrome - No cuts - includes the Theatrical Cut (80:36 NTSC) and Director's Cut (80:30 NTSC).
- R1 Double Feature America- BCI Eclipse - No cuts - Theatrical Cut (80:22 NTSC).
- R1 Rare Cult Cinema America- Mill Creek Home Entertainment - Yes - Theatrical Cut with the stinger after the end credits cut off in mid-sentence, followed by the Mill Creek logo (80:18 NTSC).
