The 2-disc "50th Anniversary Edition", for the different versions, extras and a new transfer. Only some "Production notes" are missing (and in the older R1 CE release, "Orson Welles' Memo Production" was included as a text version on the disc itself).

R1 50th Anniversary Edition America- Universal Pictures - No cuts, inc. 3 versions of the film;
1) "Restored Version" (110:36 NTSC) (Re-edited in 1998 - restored to Orson Welles' vision based on his detailed 58-page memo to the studio).
2) "Theatrical Version" (95:15 NTSC) (original U.S. theatrical version from 1958).
3) "Preview Version" (108:48 NTSC) (created prior to the theatrical version, this cut of the film incorporates some of Orson Welles' requests and was discovered by Universal in 1976). - R1 Widescreen America- Universal Pictures - No cuts - 1998 restored and re-edited version (110:41 NTSC, including 0:47 intro text about the version).
- R2 Germany- Universal Pictures - No cuts - 1998 restored and re-edited version.
- R2 Scandinavia- Universal Pictures - No cuts - 1998 restored and re-edited version.
- R2 United Kingdom- Universal Pictures - No cuts - 1998 restored and re-edited version.
