OVERALL: R0
- The Code Red version has the longer international version as well as extras.
- For the shorter German version, go fo the R2 release by Simpel Movie/MPW since it is also Anamorphic and in the original aspect ratio, but do note that two scenes are missing from the movie itself and offered as deleted scenes.
Note that R2 Germany by X-Rated comes with bonus trailers on a second disc.
The following versions of the movie are known:
- The International version runnning ~100min.
- The German version running ~99min.
The following is missing in the German version (NTSC timecodes):
- At 31:33, after the question "How did you convince him, Al?", a short sequence in which the seller replies "Huh?" I did not", with the others also saying "Very strange" is missing (0:02).
- At 50:34, after the dialogue "No, first I want the woman!", the following sequence is missing: "You have seen them, right?", "What do you think of her?", "Something special, not like other women. Her skin is like velvet", "Brunette? Blonde? But not about red hair?", "The most beautiful redhead I saw before.", "You know what they say about redheads. They are everywhere redhead. Ha, ha!", *Fire exchange*, "Remember well that he is a great hero?", "He's all", "Huh? - Half Blood damned! Only with the best of his friend. And now he has this red-haired lady", *Shot*, "Go to hell. Come on, people!" (0:59).
- At 1:10:27, after the dialogue "Who is the opinion, I was not the right man to settle accounts with Rocco to come here and take over the job for me.", the following reply is missing: "I take this up with assassins. He is behind me and has asked for it. If we bring it to an end now.", "It is, therefore, no one miserable bastard to hell send it" (0:13).
Special thanks to Rewind user djvaso and to ofdb.de for providing this information..
The running times of the International version and of the German edition offered on the Simpel Movie/MPW releases don't match given all the listed differences (Simpel Movie/MPW release should be shorter by ~0:38), but we have been unable to explain why. -
