The film exists in four versions:
- the reedited "serious horror" theatrical 35mm cut scanned from videotape (~88 minutes);
- the original "spoof horror" home video cut (~99 minutes);
- a previously-unreleased alternate cut created in 1984 titled "Psycho Killer" (~98 minutes);
- and an unofficial fan-created "director's cut" created in 2013 (~158 minutes). -

- R0 America- Code Red - No cuts - Contains the "spoof horror" home video cut (99:15 NTSC)
- R0 Director's Cut America- Slasher // Video - No cuts - Contains the fan produced "director's cut" (157:45 NTSC)
