The film exists in four versions:
- the reedited "serious horror" theatrical 35mm cut scanned from videotape (~88 minutes);
- the original "spoof horror" home video cut (~99 minutes);
- a previously-unreleased alternate cut created in 1984 titled "Psycho Killer" (~98 minutes);
- and an unofficial fan-created "director's cut" created in 2013 (~158 minutes).
