The cuts were Compulsory. Cuts required to cockfighting and a horse fall for 'PG', under the Cinematograph Films (Animals) Act 1937.
  BBFC: "The film was classified twice for video in 2001; one was widescreen. This version, classified on 16 August 2001, was the first time the work had been submitted to the BBFC for video classification. Cuts were required to two scenes of illegal animal cruelty under The Cinematograph Films (Animals) Act 1937 - a scene of real cockfighting and dangerous horse falls. The second version, classified on 25 September 2001, was pre-cut in accordance to the earlier version but the cuts did not match exactly. However, all illegal material had been removed so no further action was required." (90:52 PAL).
