OVERALL: Draw
The German and UK Anchor Bay releases include an optional 5.1 track and a lengthy documentary.
The UK Odyssey release includes both the TV version and Theatrical versions of the film with a differing documentary.
The SCTV Version - features the original Glaswegian Scottish dialogue.
The Theatrical Version - features a redubbed generic Scottish dialogue track, with about 7 minutes of cuts to the film. Also added were dates and locations captions and alternate credit sequences.
A note on the aspect ratio:
As a TV production, the film was shot on 16mm in the 1.33:1 ratio. For the theatrical release, the film was cropped on the top and bottom, screened at 1.85:1. For the DVD master, the 1.85:1 theatrical version was further cropped on the sides to 1.33:1. All the DVDs feature this severely cropped version, losing about 1/4 of the original picture. -
