OVERALL: R0
At this point a draw between R0 India and UK -releases. see below for info on other releases.
Other releases:
There is a 3-disc -release available on R1 US and R2 UK by Eros with an English language version of the film on disc 3. We have not found confirmed specs for these releases yet.
There also is a French release from TF1 Vidéo/Diaphana (Edition Prestige), which is a shorter version, specs TBC.
There is also a Thai release by Mang Dong, specs TBC.
Known differences between the French R2 and India/UK R0 version:
- Eros (Hindi/UK) editions - At 00:24:00, the hero (Shah Rukh Khan) visits the heroine (Aishwarya Rai) but does not wake her up, instead just keeps looking at her, reveling in her beauty. The background just plays the music of the song "Woh Chaand Jaisee Ladki" without any lyrics. But in the theatrical version, the lyrics are "sung" too -- and this is true of the French Diaphana version as well.
- EROS version includes the hero's father's deathbed scene whereas it's not in French Diaphana edition. About 2 mins. -
