88 Films has more comprehensive extras, although Severin has a few exclusives.
GENERAL NOTES:
A version of the film seems to have run roughly 101 minutes before being recut and finally submitted for a BBFC X-certificate at approximately 89 minutes (much of the cut footage consisted of dialogue while some horror footage was also reported added to this recut version) which is presumably the same as the U.S. theatrical version.
The inserts that were added to the barn scene that were cut from the original X-certificate theatrical release (88:46) were reinstated to all known home video versions (88:53) and were likely always present in the U.S. theatrical release.
Thanks to Tim_Rogerson for his reports on the BBFC correspondence file on the film (and to Darrel_Griffin for his research). It is likely that the 101 minute version never screened anywhere and may have been a workprint. -
CUTS:
- Blu-ray ALL Black Friday Limited Edition America- Severin Films - No cuts (88:53)
- Blu-ray B United Kingdom- 88 Films - No cuts (88:51)
