GENERAL NOTES:
The film received its certificate in 1973, but was not released until 1975 (which may explain why the the title was changed to a more poliziotteschi-sounding title from the original, more enigmatic title “Il giardino delle lattughe”). The previous video source for the film moved the final shot with the film’s epigraph to the end of the opening credits (offering a clue rather than a comic coda).
